Steps for establishing a Technical Area Task with MSIAC
- MSIAC and the Requesting Activity (Customer) discuss scope, the technical tasks, the approach, time and cost. A draft Statement of Work (SOW) is prepared by the Requesting Activity with the assistance of MSIAC.
- A final SOW is prepared and sent to the DTIC/IAC program office and the COR for review and approval.
- The Requesting Activity may forward a Military Interdepartmental Purchase Request (MIPR) to DTIC at any time after SOW approval.
- MSIAC submits the Technical and Cost Proposal to the CO and sends the Technical Proposal to the Requesting Activity. The Requesting Activity notifies the COR that the Technical Proposal is acceptable.
- The CO issues a TAT delivery order, authorizing start work, after the MIPR and all contract documents are in place.
