M&S Education
M&S University, part of the MSIAC, delivers courses and instructional services that benefit the entire M&S community.
High Level Architecture Compliance Testing
The High Level Architecture (HLA) Helpdesk provides the M&S community with initial information on HLA and assistance on HLA related questions. Request for assistance can be sent to HLAHelpDesk@dod-msiac.org.
Federate HLA Compliance Testing can be conducted at http://hlatest.dod-msiac.org:8080/ftms/index.jsp. This site provides the federate developer with a simple means to ensure that a federate is compliant with the HLA standards.
Verification Validation & Accreditation Recommended Practices Guide (VV&A RPG)
For assistance with the guide, contact the MSIAC Help Desk.
State of the Art Reports
The MSIAC provides periodic reports on technologies and techniques affecting the state of the art of modeling and simulation. These reports are generally furnished for the benefit of the overall DoD modeling and simulation community. If you would like to recommend an area in which the community would benefit from a State of the Art Report, please contact the MSIAC Help Desk.
Reachback Support
MSIAC expertise can be rapidly brought to bear in support of forward deployed operational forces. Core Help Desk personnel can provide a variety of services, via Internet or SIPRNet, as well as coordinate more complex tasks.
Knowledge Management
The MSIAC provides knowledge management services via a variety of vehicles. The Modeling and Simulation Community of Practice (M&S CoP) is a knowledge portal where any organization conducting work for the DoD M&S community can create a digital work space, post documents or other digital files for distribution to a specific sub community, or the public. The system also supports discussions, both public and private. The MSIAC knowledge management staff maintains certain sections of the portal with current DoD documents and information of interest to the community. The portal also contains the High Level Architecture Federation Engineering Lessons Learned Archive.
Technical Area Tasks
Technical area tasks are MSIAC tasks that exceed the scope of normal Help Desk assistance. TATs are executed within an expedited contracting process. TATs allow MSIAC customers to reach a broad range of expertise. For further information, contact the MSIAC Help Desk or the TAT Coordinator.
